More Maps!
Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 4:21PM I may not live in LA anymore but I am intrigued by this: Mapping L.A. - Los Angeles Times.
Did you know that LA has 113 neighborhoods? (that does not include Pasadena or Culver City, mind you)
My precious old hood:
I’ve been looking around the web for a Mapping Memphis equivalent. I found THIS but it doesn’t give you the census dirt on each hood.
The Best One Out Of My 90s Collection
Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 2:16AM Postcard from 1997 CC (that's cross-country) Trip with Kris-O. We took her Jetta on the Salt Flats during the day, in the summer, under the sun, unsupervised, unregistered, and unclocked. And well, we got lost because mirages are real, very real. There was water up ahead at every turn. Only flat white land to tell us where we'd been and where to go. Speed - the only way out. A fast gamble in a whatever direction, our fifth attempt worked. Mirages are real, speed is real, salt is flat, life is a pink postcard with cars.
